May 20, 2010

(SCOTTSDALE, AZ) May 19, 2010 – Jim Ward, Republican candidate for Arizona's Fifth Congressional District, today announced that Dina Higgins, a member of the Mesa City Council, endorses his candidacy for Congress.  Her endorsement is the latest public vote of confidence Ward has received from elected officials throughout Arizona.

“Jim Ward clearly has the real-world experience and conservative credenti als to represent us in Washington D.C. where I know he will fight for fiscal responsibility and limited government,” remarked Higgins.  “Now more than ever, we need people like Jim with the talent and capability to help course correct our country, and I urge our citizens to support him,” she added.

“I am truly honored to have the support and endorsement of Dina Higgins,” said Jim Ward.  “Her voice carries enormous weight among her constituents and her path from professional to elected official is exemplary of the call to service I am pursuing in my own campaign,” Ward added.

Since declaring his candidacy for Congressional District 5, Jim Ward has received endorsement from Arizona Congressman John Shadegg, former Governor Fife Symington, Arizona State Senator Tom Smith, Scottsdale Mayor Jim Lane, Tempe City Councilmember Onnie Shekerjian and Scottsdale City Councilman Bob Littlefield among others.
